Get your own Roofing Email Address

For a while now, we have been suggesting that roofing contractors get their own website, which in turn yields an email address that identifies them as a roofer. Well, as always, we are here to make it a little easier.

National Roof Group's motto is, "You are Roofing," and we believe it! Very soon you will be able to get an "IamRoofing.com" email address. This will identify you as a roofer, and your customers will be more at ease. Using a Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail address for your company does not look professional, and should never be a substitute for an actual email address.

While we still believe that you should have a roofing website with company email, having an email address that announces that you are a roofing contractor will help somewhat. Check back soon at www.IamRoofing.com for more information.

New NRG Program Launch Coming

Now that the 4th of July is over and we've all had a good rest, I want to take the time to announce the latest NRG Member benefit. Fusion Printing is adding a new service to the lineup called "Blast Radius Marketing."

Roofing Entrepreneur Magazine Released

National Roof Group is very proud to announce that the very first issue of Roofing Entrepreneur Magazine is now available for download. Ok, so it's probably more of an e-zine, but after this much work, we're going to call it a magazine.

Initially we planned to have the roofing magazine printed, bound and sent out to all the fine roofing contractors of the United States, but when we got the quotes on printing and shipping, we decided against. In fact, for a while there was great dout that it would ever become anything.

Alas, the decision was made to start the offering from the beginning as digital copy, thereby saving a small fortune in printing costs.

Future issues are already in the works, and you can expect them to be available quarterly. We have guest writers who will be adding special columns concerning the roofing industry, so get ready.

At the beginning of 2009 (after the kinks are worked out) the decision will be made to either maintain the quarterly editions, or move them up to bimonthly or monthly.

Roofing Channel LIVE!

Tonight (Wednesday June 2, 2008) we will be testing the Roofing Channel LIVE! video broadcast channel.

If you are interested in joining in, you will need to be a National Roof Group member in order to talk in the chat room. Members can type in the chat and ask questions while we are live, and we’ll do our best to get your roofing questions answered.

Members must log into the forum, and click NRG Chat. Once you get into the chat room, select The Roofing Channel chatroom. We recommend that you have a browser open for the Live! feed, and also the chat room so that you can participate in both at the same time.
